Roadmap answers: when you build a roadmap, we save the answers you provide — your state, business type, business name (optional), whether you'll have employees, and how many owners your LLC will have.
Email address (optional): if you choose to save your roadmap, we store the email you enter so your checklist can be retrieved later.
Usage analytics: we track aggregate events such as roadmap starts, completed steps, and guide views so we can improve the site. We do not collect sensitive financial information.

Advertising and Measurement
We may advertise this site on Google, Microsoft (Bing), Meta (Facebook and Instagram), Reddit, and TikTok. To measure whether those ads work, our live site can load tags from these companies. They can see that a visitor viewed a page or completed an action such as creating a roadmap or clicking an official state link, and may use cookies or similar technology to do this.
We never send your roadmap answers, business name, or email address to advertising platforms.
You can limit ad personalization through each company's settings — for example Google's My Ad Center, Meta's Ad Preferences, and the Digital Advertising Alliance's opt-out tools at optout.aboutads.info — or by blocking third-party cookies in your browser.
Local Storage
We save your questionnaire answers in your browser's local storage so the roadmap builder can pre-fill your answers on your next visit. You can clear this at any time through your browser settings.
